Pedro Ferreira (born 11 October 1997), known professionally as Liam Cole, is a Portuguese DJ, music producer and songwriter. After years producing and writing for other artists, movies, games and commercials, and having amassed hundreds of millions of streams on his music, Liam decided to create his own artistic project (Liam Cole) in 2021, gathering all his music under one name.
His debut single was a cover remix of the number 1 Worldwide Hit "Stay" by The Kid LAROI (with Justin Bieber), released September 17th 2021.
Early life and beginnings
Pedro Ferreira was born on 11 October 1997 in Évora, to Portuguese parents, José Pedro Ferreira, and Margarida Ferreira. He"Stay" by The Kid LAROI (with Justin Bieber) released September 17th 2021. has an elder sister, Ana Beatriz Ferreira, who's also a musician, pianist and teacher. He attended Academia de Música de Santa Cecília, where he started his music studies and piano lessons at the age of 5, before attending Escola de Música do Conservatório Nacional, where he finished his degree in music composition in 2017.
He was first attracted to electronic music at the age of 8, influenced by his father who made music on Reason 5 as a hobby, after receiving the CD Elements of Life by Tiësto for his birthday, and began recording bedroom demos since. After finishing his studies, Cole started working full-time as a music producer in several Portuguese studios and DJing, where he got to perform to +10 thousand people at the renowned Portuguese Summer Festival, MEO Sudoeste, being the youngest ever DJ to perform on that stage (age 17).
Career
Despite his young age, Cole already has hundreds of millions of streams under several aliases, with releases on Universal Music, Warner Music and Sony Music, worked for multiple world renowned artists and companies like Netflix & FOX, and was invited to writing camps for the likes of Dr.Dre, Spinnin' Records, Universal Music, Warner Music and Sony Music.
Cole decided to release music as Liam Cole in 2021, taking all his experience to create his own identity, merging all his influences and release all his music under one name. His debut single "Stay", a cover remix of The Kid LAROI (with Justin Bieber), released September 17th 2021 on Soave Records.
