South Armagh Republican Reaction Force
Appearance
The South Armagh Republican Action Force was a name used by Irish Republican guerrilla unit who operated at various times in the Northern Irish Troubles. It was suspected that South Armagh Republican Action Force was a cover name for the Provisional IRA South Armagh Brigade.[1]
On January 5, 1976 they claimed the Kingsmill massacre, when ten Protestant men were killed just outside the village of Kingsmill in South Armagh, Northern Ireland.[2] They said it was in retaliation for the killing locally of six catholics, three members of the Reavey family and three members of the O'Dowd family, the day before.
