MRCVS = Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons

Any Vet wishing to practice veterinary surgery in the United Kingdom must be a properly registered member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). Once they have registered, they are entitiled to use the letters MRCVS after their name which shows that they have met the RCVS criteria for membership by either posessing a veterinary degree which is recognised by the RCVS or by having passed the MRCVS statutory membership exam.
