Kasamh Se is a Hindi drama serial produced by Ekta Kapoor and directed by Anil V Kumar. It has been shown since 2006 on Zee TV every sunday-thursday. Kasamh Se deals with the trials and tribulations of three sisters, Bani, Pia and Rano, and is inspired by the american novel Little Women.

Bani, Pia and Rano are three sisters who live in Mount Abu with their father, Nishikant Dixit. Their mother died seven years earlier, and since then, their father has become an alcoholic.

Before Nishikant dies, he makes Bani promise that she will protect and take care of her younger sisters. After his death, Bani is given a letter from Dayal, a family friend, which contains the address of Jai Walia - the man who will take care of them. The three sisters then go to Jai Walia in Mumbai and are given shelter there.

Jai's sister, Jigyasa and her son, Ranveer hate the sisters. In the meantime, Jai realises that he loves Pia, and proposes marriage to her, despite the age barrier. Pia, despite being in love with Pushkar, agrees to the marriage believing that Jai will give her a better life than Pushkar can. However, later on, Pia decides to elope with Pushkar. Jigyasa then suggests that Jai marriage Bani, and pressure is applied to Bani. Despite Jai and Bani getting married, Jai refuses to accept her as his wife.

Over time, Masi's presence and Bani's persuasion improves the relationship between Jai and Bani. Jai starts liking Bani for whom she is. However life has something else in store for them.

Bani's pregnant!

Jai Walia reflects on his statements about Bani. He comes to the hospital. Sahil gets angry with Rano, tells her she is not concerned about their child. Sahil tells her, he is concerned about only about his child and not about Bani. And curses Bani if anything happens to his child. Jai Walia is at Bani's bedside and wants her to get well soon. Bani begins to show some kind of a movement after Krishna comes in her dream. The doctor comes in and is astonished to find out she is pregnant. Pia is at the hospital; she finds out that Bani is missing from the hospital and that she is pregnant. Bani walks down alone on a desolate street not believing she is pregnant, she wonders whether she should give birth to this child? She questions the values she would able to give the child and does not want the child to come in this world? Pia enters Bani's room, finds her medical papers and then burns them, as she does not want Jai Walia to find out about Bani's pregnancy. Jai Walia finds out Bani is missing from the hospital. There is gun kept on Bani's gunpoint.

Bani faces her assailant, who tells her the police, is behind him and he is going to shoot her to save himself. Bani asks him why is the police behind him. The man tells her, he killed his wife, as she was unfaithful to him. Bani reflects on Jai Walia. The man tells her he did not know his wife was pregnant when he killed her. The police arrive and the man keeps Bani as hostage. Bani devises a plan with the man, they hide away in the dense underbrush. The police threaten to shoot, Bani tells the man she is also pregnant. Jai Walia arrives there, is concerned. The police fire a gunshot, Bani gets saved. The body is taken away; Jai Walia meets Bani who walks away. Everyone in the house is relieved to find out Bani is safe and healthy, Rano and Sahil come in. Rashi reassures Rano about Bani. The doctor decides to inform that Bani Walia is pregnant. Pia stops the doctor citing the trauma Bani is going through and assures him, she will take care of it. Jai Walia is thinking of Bani, Karuna meets him. She tells him, she is on his side and will tell everyone what Jai Walia did for Bani. Jai Walia wishes to meet Bani once. Pia receives Jai Walia's phone call, feels her dreams are coming true. Pia receives an invitation to a party.

Jigyasa advises Sahil to get the abnormal child aborted. Sahil does not agree with Jigyasa and holds Bani responsible. Rano prays to her parents, she receives an invitation card to the party. The press covers the party; Tarun announces this party is in honor of Rano's birthday and Bani joining the business. Bani wishes Rano, Pushkar comes in and wishes Rano. Pia comes in, Bani sees her. Jai Walia too enters the party, Karuna tells him to tell Bani the truth. Pia tells Bani, she knows Bani is pregnant and questions her on not informing Jai Walia of the same? She also tells Bani that Jai Walia loves her a lot, and that they met lot of times at Dubai and how they supposedly fell in love. Pia tells Bani they will adopt her child when they are planning for their child. Pia asks Bani if she is happy for her? Jai Walia comes to meet Bani who reflects on Pia words, Tarun comes and takes Bani away. When Jai Walia tries to speak to Mausi, she walks away and so do the other family members. Jai Walia meets the doctor who advises him not to meet Bani for next seven days. Jai Walia decides to wait and tell the truth to Bani. Tarun tells Bani to remove Jai Walia from her heart and not get affected by his presence. He advises Bani to become strong and start living for herself. Bani tells Tarun, I am with you.

Sahil tells Rano to abort the baby, Rano disagrees with him. Tarun and Bani come back to the party, the press ask Bani questions. Tarun answers on her behalf. Bani begins to speak and tells i am Bani Dikshit and this is my identity and i can handle my responsibilities. Tarun and Mausi take Bani away, Jai Walia looks at them go. Tarun remarks at Jai Walia, tells him there is no place for Jai Walia in Bani's life. As Jai Walia is about to leave, Bani's sari gets caught in his suit. Tarun breaks them up and takes Bani away. Jai Walia walks alone, Pia follows him and offers her support. Jai Walia gets angry at Pia and tells her he does not love her and after 7 days he will reveal everything to Bani. Pia tries to stop Jai Walia, he does not relent. Pia pledges not to allow Bani and Jai Walia to get back together. Pia wants a lift, it is Pushkar in the car. Pushkar tells Pia she deserved what Jai Walia did to her. All the three sisters Rano, Pia and Bani remember her mother's words. Tarun and Aditya want Bani to come for project meeting. Tarun tells Bani, now Walia empire is her hands and Jai Walia and Pia will keep meeting her. Bani decides to go for the meeting.

Bani and Tarun reach Jai Walia's guesthouse. They overhear Pia talking to the gardener. Pia greets them, the waiter comes and tells: Jai Walia wants Pia to make breakfast for him. Bani feels bad and goes away. Pia is happy at the success of her plan. Tarun asks Bani not to react everytime and show that Jai Walia and Pia's presence is not going to affect her. Tarun and Bani meet Jai Walia and discuss the shopping mall with him. Sahil tells Rano, she will not abort the baby. Jai and Bani sit face to face at the meeting. They both are required to attend a meeting together at Panvel, Pia decides to thwart Bani's plans. Bani asks Sahil to take care of the hotel project. Jai Walia wants Karuna to take care of his business. she is reluctant, Jai assures her. Later Tarun and Bani see Pia at the hotel, Pia shows off in front of them. Bani feels bad, Tarun follows her. He gets angry at Bani for reacting everytime she sees Pia and Jai Walia. Tarun learns Bani is pregnant. Lakshmi is writing, when Karuna calls her, she tries to hide away but Karuna finds the letter. Jigyasa gets angry at Sahil. Sahil makes her understand his future plans.

Karuna meets Jai Walia for the meeting. Bani and Tarun arrive there. The deal gets finalized; Jai looks at Bani go away. Sahil tells Bani he will handle the Panvel project, Bani informs him that Pushkar will now handle all the businesses previously handled by him. Rano questions Bani's sudden change in decision. Bani remembers how she overheard Sahil's words. Sahil speaks to Jai Walia about Bani's change of decision. Bani decides to cook for Rano. Sahil speaks to Ranvir for being on his side, but Ranvir supports Bani. Ranvir meets the doctor and finds out that Rashi is unwell. Rashi and Ranvir return home, Bani enquiries about Rashi's health. Rano joins in and everyone enjoys the halwa, Sahil enters and walks away. Rano begins to choke and Sahil comes running. Sahil feels Bani has poisoned Rano and holds her responsible. Jai Walia learns of a legal notice issued against Bani by Sahil. Jai Walia decides to act accordingly.

Rano is brought to the hospital. Bani feels bad, Rashi consoles her. Rashi sees Ranvir at the hospital. Rashi calls Ranvir who lies to her.Pia meets Bani and Rashi at the hospital. She fakes a call from Jai Walia in front of Bani. Rashi meets Ranvir and asks him if he is lying to her ? As Bani is about to leave home for the meeting, Rano returns home. The meeting begins, Jai Walia speaks in favour of Sahil. Bani begins to speak, she tells everyone to vote in favour of Pushkar. Jai Walia sees someone opening the safe and removing money. The voting results are announced in favour of Pushkar. Jai Walia announces he is selling 5 % of his shares in Walia Industries. Tarun questions this decision, Jai Walia gets angry and leaves. Bani receives Rashi's call asking about Ranvir. Bani sees Ranvir with another woman at a park. Bani questions Ranvir and decides to investigate

Rashi lays down conditions in order for the treatment to begin. She wants Bani to fulfill two of her wishes. Rashi tells Bani her first wish is to get Jai Walia back in Walia house. And Rashi's second wish is that Bani will not go anywhere. Rashi wants Jai and Bani to stay together,Bani agrees. Pia is at the hospital for her medical checkup. Mausi feels bad for Rashi, Dadi consoles her. Bani enters the guesthouse, sees Jai Walia. Jai Walia is in a fix as to how to face Bani. Bani tells Jai Walia about Rashi's wish. Pia is shocked to see Jai Walia and Bani leave together. Karuna meets Sahil and wants to invest money in his business. Jai Walia enters Walia house, Rashi is happy to see him. Jai Walia advises Rashi to take care. Some unknown people discuss jai Walia returning back to Walia house.

Pia meets Baani on her way out of the temple. She manipulates her and convinces Baani that she now has no place in Jai Walia's life hence she should agree and give her the permission to take charge of his life. Baani agrees. Rashi keeps a pooja which Jai and Baani have to perform together. The doctor informs Ranveer that the chemotherapy is not helping Rashi in any manner. Rashi tells Baani that she insisted on getting Jai back as she knew baani was pregnant. Pia moves in the house with her bag and baggage and informs everyone that she has the complete right to stay in the house as she has made Baani sign legal papers for the same.

Ranveer feels bad about Rashi not responding to chemotherapy, Jai Walia and the other family members console him. Sahil is happy to see Pia back in the house. Both of them decide their next move against Jai and Bani.Jai walia comes to meet Mausi and rests his head on her lap. Mausi remembers an incident from Jai's childhood. Karuna sees Jai Walia and mausi together, mausi brushes Karuna's thoughts about Jai Walia. Jai Walia comes in front of Bani. Ranvir takes special care of Rashi. Rashi asks about Jai and Bani, Karuna goes to call them. Jai Walia clarifies to Bani about her uncomfortable feeling. Jai and Bani come together, rashi feels happy. Pia sees Jai and Bani together and swears that once her child is born, Jai Walia will have to live with her. Rashi explains the rules of the game all need to play. Mausi reads a chit, where she needs to bless her favourite couple.

The game continues, Ranvir picks a chit which requires him to dance. Ranvir asks Rashi to join him. Next, Mausi reads a chit, where she needs to bless her favourite couple. Mausi blesses Jai and Bani. Aditya has to choose a couple to dance. he picks Bani and Jai. Pia comes down and is surprised to see Jai and Bani together. Pia wants to play, everyone in the family is against it. She picks a chit about which is one's best moment in life. Pia begins to speak about her and Jai's moments in Dubai. Jai Walia blasts Pia. Then it is Jai Walia's turn to pick a chit. He needs to propose like a college boy to the girl he loves.Jai Walia proposes to Bani, both hold hands and Tarun enters. Tarun speaks to Bani about her decision to divorce Jai.Tarun asks Bani if she still loves Jai Walia. Dadi, Aditya and Natvar talk about Jigyasa. Dadi decides to hold a pooja to ward off all evil in the house. Ranvir meets Pushkar, tells him about rashi's efforts to get Bani and Jai together. Jai Walia sees Tarun in Bani's cabin. Jai Walia asks Tarun who are you to decide every matter in Bani's life. Tarun replies he is giving Bani support. Jai Walia tells Tarun to stay in limits and not cross the line. Jai walia also tells Tarun there is difference in being a husband and in being just a friend

The attackers decide to ask for ransom for Bani. Jai Walia reaches there and fights the attackers. He asks Bani to run away. one man chases Bani, she gets hit. Jai assures Bani and with Tarun's help both rush her to the hospital. Jai comes to know Bani is pregnant. Ranvir , Anu and husband see Bani being brought into the hospital. Ranvir is told Rashi will not survive if the medicine is not given to her. Ranvir finds the medicine clapsed in Bani's hands who keeps calling for Rashi. Jai Walia sits at Bani's side, Mausi comes in and asks him to leave. Aditya and Jigyasa reassure Ranvir about Rashi. Mausi and Jai speak in the corridor, she tells him Bani lost her first child to save him. Jai tries to tell Mausi he loves Bani but she walks away. Mausi welcomes Rashi and Bani back from the hospital. The priest tells kalajadoo saman was recovered from Bani's room and that Bani is inauspicious. Mausi refutes all of pandit's claims. Pia is worried about Jai and Bani getting together. Rano slips and falls down, Jigyasa sees her and offers her fake sympathy. Jigyasa tries to rake up anti Bani feelings. Jai walia rubbishes Jigyasa and calls for Tony, Driver and the mali. Jai walia wonders about Bani and the kalajadoo saman recovered from her room
