Simple Answer

[edit]

Hi there Z. What I do to cut and paste is to first get to the page with the picture you want. Then, click on the "edit this page' button, find the image that you want, highlight it, right click "copy", and then go to the page you want to paste it to. Then click "Edit this page" button there, and paste the pic in an appropriate place. You'll notice that the picture file may say something like "Image:Blason Lusignan.png|thumb|left|120px|The Lusignan coat of arms: "Barruly of ten, argent and azure", but with [[ ]] brackets around it. you can change such a pic, from left, right or center, and you can also change the size by increasing the pixels or "px". I hope this helped a little bit, let me know how it goes, ok? See you 'round the wiki! Hamster Sandwich 05:10, 6 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Answer to: what is "rv nn"?

[edit]

You wrote:

Hi. You just reverted my changes to the "Vampire" article, with the explanation "rv nn." What does this mean? I did some copyediting on a few sections; what did I do wrong? Z Wylld 23:34, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It means "revert: non-notable", and I suspect DreamGuy intended to revert the edit before yours. This probably happened by DreamGuy seeing the previous edit and deciding it was "non-notable", opening an old version from the History, waiting a smidge too long to re-save that old version as the current version, and in the meantime you made your edit. When he saved the old version, he overwrote both the non-notable addition as well as your copy edits.

As soon as I'm done leaving this comment I'm going to go and integrate your copy edits into the edits that came later, to fix DreamGuy's mistake. Cheers! — Saxifrage  00:26, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I believe they both already were on the list, were they not? Girolamo Savonarola 12:29, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
