Jiran is a town and a nagar panchayat in Neemuch district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

Geography

Jiran is located at 24°19′N 74°53′E / 24.32°N 74.88°E / 24.32; 74.88[1].It is in west-north region of INDIA's heart MADHYA PRADESH It has an average elevation of 1551 feet (473 metres).

Demographics

As of 2001 India censusTemplate:GR, Jiran had a population of 10,519. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Jiran has an average literacy rate of 62%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 77%, and female literacy is 46%. In Jiran, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Religion





Mainly Hindu & Muslim.Majority people are Patidar & Jain.
