ArbCom 2018 election voter message

[edit]

Hello, Obhf. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please link to your userpage in your signature if possible. I just had to make an edit to keep a bot happy. Cheers — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 13:36, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

July 2020

[edit]

These are the accounts that were blocked in the belief that they were sockpuppets of bromtomley. However, while they're all mine, bromtomley isn't. This account (Obhf) has been my main one in the past, and Crpstn has been in recent weeks. All others were registered because of what I thought was an amusing account name, or to edit on a particular topic, or just due to boredom. Being bored, in my case, led to silly numbers of accounts being set up. I don't think I've been disruptive at all, but I do see that I've broken at least one point of policy regarding alternative accounts. (Editing the same page from two or more accounts. Obhf (talk) 21:31, 10 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'll edit this some more shortly, including the rest of the accounts that weren't included. Obhf (talk) 21:49, 10 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Going to sleep now, having triuble logging into other accounts now, so can't mark them as additional/sockpuppet etc. May carry on tomorrow, maybe just logged in here (Obhf) and write on the talk pages. Obhf (talk) 23:38, 10 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Is User:Lambdoid your account? What was the very first Wikipedia account you created? Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 02:24, 11 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Callanecc Not sure about very first, mid 2000s. Lambdoid was mine, yes, He does not look like a halibut!, LewPot. Don't have a comprehensive list. Many were set up, especially recently, without email addresses. Obhf (talk) 09:11, 11 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Is Pensioner invented filthy names your account? Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 10:12, 11 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Callanecc No, not one of mine. I've listed all the ones I could find above. But if you ask about any others you think could be mine, there are no doubt some I've forgotten. Cheers Obhf (talk) 10:17, 11 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
LLCruncher may be oldest account. There's no global account, only English Wikipedia I think. Obhf (talk) 10:30, 11 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Callanecc I saw user Spamala listed, but that's not one of mine. I think we've got all the recent ones (May to July) listed. I think that's when I was most often setting them up quickly, without email addresses, and possibly forgetting to list them anywhere. If you find any more that you think are mine, I'll certainly try and log in to check, as I most likely used the same password over the last few weeks. Obhf (talk) 12:33, 11 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Callanecc Hi, I've just noticed your reply at User talk:Crpstn. Thanks, I'll stay logged out of all the accounts on all projects, except Obhf on meta and Commons, where I hope I can add something useful in the way of photos etc. I couldn't get back into LLCruncher, by the way, so if you were waiting for that, I'm probably locked out for good, password forgotten a long time ago. I'll only be here logged in as Obhf if I'm logged in over at meta or Commons and look at this Wikipedia while still logged in. Thanks, I'll wait six months or more (say 12 January or later), as you suggest, then think about asking for rehabilitation of this account here. Obhf (talk) 22:02, 11 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

User:Obhf is a sockpoppet (alternative account undeclared prior to July 2020) of LLCruncher (blocked on English Wikipedia). Going forward, Obhf is the only account in use, and only on Commons as c:User:Obhf.
