Yan Jianyuan (died 502) was a native of Linyi, Langya Commandery (now Shandong Province). He was on the staff of [[Xiao Baorong]], the last Southern Qi emperor. When Xiao Baorong was killed by Xiao Yan, establishing the Liang dynasty, Yan Jianyuan died due to hunger strike. [1][2]
