The Taoic religions are those religions of East Asia which make use of the term Tao or Dao (in Chinese); Do (in Japanese), and other-language equivalents. They include Taoism, Confucianism, Shinto, Yiguandao, Chondogyo, and Caodaism.

The category complements those of the Abrahamic religions on one hand; and the dharmic religions on the other. Chinese Buddhism is both Dharmic and Taoic.

The martial arts of Karate and Hapkido use the term as well, but are not considered religions. The status of Confucianism is ambiguous as it boasts priests, temples, rituals, and holy texts, yet is agnostic on the subject of the supernatural.

Chen Tao arguably qualifies.
