Reliance Industries Limited is India's largest private sector company with a turnover of US $19.976 billion and profit of US $2.033 billion for the fiscal year ending in March 2006. It was founded by Dhirubhai Ambani in the 1970s. Ther is now immense specualtion as to the fate of the borthers Ambani.

Stock

  • Among Indian shareholders 25% own a Reliance share.[citation needed]. Reliance has more than 3 million shareholders, larger than the population of many countries in the world. Reliance Industries Ltd, subsequent to its split in January 2006 has continued to grow from strength to strength. Reliance companies have been among the best performing in the Indian Stock Market.
