Daniel Peretz (Hebrew: דניאל פרץ; born 10 July 2000) is an Israeli professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Maccabi Tel Aviv.[1]
Early life
Peretz was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, to a family of Sephardic Jewish descent.[2][3] He is the cousin of fellow Maccabi Tel Aviv academy graduate Dan Glazer.[4]
Club career
Peretz joined youth academy of Maccabi Tel Aviv at the age of six.[5] He spent 2019–20 season on loan at Beitar Tel Aviv Bat Yam, where he made 36 appearances and scored two goals.[4]
On 22 August 2020, Peretz made his professional debut for Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2020–21 Toto Cup Al final win against Bnei Sakhnin.[6] He signed a new contract with the club on 12 September 2021 until the end of 2023–24 season.[5]
International career
Peretz is a current Israeli youth international.[7] In October 2021, he received maiden call-up to senior team for World Cup Qualification matches against Scotland and Moldova.[8]
