I'm a Product Designer (UXD, UID) currently living in Dallas, Texas, soon to be moving to NYC. I think Wikipedia is an incredibly valuable tool that needs to be strengthened and improved.

I aspire to one day work for Wikipedia Design to help build future features to make it easier to spread knowledge to all.

My Interests

Feature Requests for Wikipedia

iOS App

  • Show User Page as a normal article
  • NavBox support

Visual Editor

  • Improve template editing in Visual Editor
  • Add support for Talk Pages

Tools: Page information

  • Show maintenance tag status over time, to view how quickly an article is fixed
  • Visualize a page's context within WikiProjects (similar to how the top of the talk page is used)

Improvements to the "View History" page

  • Align elements vertically to make it more readable (a table view, without lines ... instead of a list view with non-aligned elements)
  • Show small preview of before & after text changes, without having to click prev or cur buttons
  • Wrap the +/- numbers inside of a colored box (like a stock ticker) so it's more visually apparent if it's green or red (green and red text on a white background that is sufficiently readable in terms of contrast is hard to distinguish between black text on a white background)

Better Wikidata Integrations

Need to categorize

  • I'd like to improve the Template:Infobox cocktail to include % of ingredients.
  • Create a "Diagram Requested" template to improve overall diagram coverage across Wikipedia.
  • Add a gradient view to the Template:Infobox planet to show where a planet sits in relation to the habitable zone.
  • Design improved style of Wikipedia to look more modern, like that of Notion or Stripe.
  • New Tool: Show number of times a page has been listed on the current events section
