Chink is a word with four distinct and different extant uses. The first is a word to denote a narrow or slight opening, especially one through which light may be visible, the second is a chip or dent to a metallic surface, the third is sound when metal touches, and the fourth, commonly disfavored usage, is as a pejorative term for a person of Chinese descent.
