- Does the license apply? 1934 is not prior to 1923. Leyo 00:25, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment It says that "I don't see a copyright notice on the magazine page or on the cover." However, the copyright notice is allowed to be placed on certain other pages, for example in the indicia. However, copyright notices are usually irrelevant unless the magazine was published in the United States. The country of the magazine isn't given anywhere. --Stefan2 (talk) 11:02, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- file is a logo for a company that was solely used for advertising on a page that was deleted in 2007. Most likely not owned by uploader. -- ТимофейЛееСуда. 00:26, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- This is probably ineligible for copyright, but I don't see any foreseeable use for the logo. --Stefan2 (talk) 11:05, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- I see no possible secanrio that this image can be free.-happy5214 01:00, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- What about it being published on the BB 14 site and or from where other sites got the image? I doubt they had to pay some copyright fee to use the image. I say don't delete. Nemle22 (talk) 20:00, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete No evidence that it is free or that any specified licence applies. Improperly sourced. --Stefan2 (talk) 11:07, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- File:YC Mr. Racks on Racks.png (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Image is list as in public domain "because it is on the internet" which is completely false. The image is sourced to http://radioscreamer.com/search/artist.php?name=YC and is most likely owned by the musician, his label or a professional photographer. As this person is still alive, a photo could be taken and therefore fails NFCC. I attempted to Speedy, but uploader removed the speedy tag. -- ТимофейЛееСуда. 02:11, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- I've changed the copyright on the photo to reflect this and hopefully now qualify for infobox use. Jeremy112233 (talk) 23:12, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- File:Ripfromabove.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Image is listed as public domain due to creation by NOAA, and assertion is based on the existence of the image on a NOAA website: http://www.erh.noaa.gov/er/akq/marine/rip.php . However, the image itself asserts copyright in the corner. The copyright holder is apparently this man, who most likely took the photograph as a lifeguard for a California community, not as an employee of NOAA: http://www.malibutimes.com/articles/2005/04/08/life_and_arts/art1.txt .

The result of the discussion was: keep, no evidence that this image was published outside of the English Wikipedia prior to the upload date. As such, there's no reason to believe this file may infringing on copyright. — ξxplicit 01:30, 25 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- Comment: This image was uploaded in 2005 by User:Zereshk on Wikipedia. The photo on Panoramio was uploaded in 2007 by a user on the site listed as zereshk. I feel it is safe to say that these two are the same person. Now what this does to the licensing, I don't know, but I can absolutely safely say that this image was not taken from the panoramio page. -- ТимофейЛееСуда. 20:16, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment The photo was also uploaded in 2006 to fa:پرونده:دانشگاه هنر اصفهان.jpg by fa:کاربر:ماني. This appears to be a different user (interwiki link to User:Mani1). I can't read the text on the Persian file information page. --Stefan2 (talk) 11:01, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- I used Google's translate features (which isn't always accurate) but it says "Derived from the English Wikipedia." and links to our original image list above. It also has a GFDL ver 1.2 license as does the one on en.wp. I still do not know what this does with the license. -- ТимофейЛееСуда. 13:45, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
