Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. bdsp are gen 8 games, being released after Pokémon Sword & Shield, even though they're remakes of gen 4 games Pokémon Diamond & Pearl 💜  melecie  talk - 02:39, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

bdsp are gen 4 games, because they are sinnoh games
region = gen, not a timeframe 2601:204:D880:3930:FCEC:143A:9CB0:4035 (talk) 02:40, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
technically there's no such thing as generations (they've never been considered officially by pokémon), although it's widely considered by fans to group games into generations based off the latest mainline game to be released, not the region the game takes place in. if you'd like to change this, please drop by one of the talk pages and gather consensus before editing, even if you believe it's right. 💜  melecie  talk - 03:05, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi 2601:204:D880:3930:FCEC:143A:9CB0:4035! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Yeeno (talk) 03:02, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@2601:204:D880:3930:FCEC:143A:9CB0:4035: I have opened up a discussion at Talk:Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen#Game generation; please discuss here before making any further edits, or you will be in violation of the three-revert rule. Thank you. Yeeno (talk) 03:18, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
