Theresa Meeker Pickett is an American filmmaker and blogger.

Filmmaking

Theresa is a filmmaking coach who has taught over 700 children how to make movies with their American Girl dolls in the American Girl Writing & Acting 5-Day Camp, and she holds an ongoing stop motion class.[1]

She coached her daughter Samantha in writing, directing, and producing 'A Halloween Sleepover,' an American Girl stop motion movie that was selected by the Kids First! Film Festival as well as the Holidays 365 International Film Festival, and it received an honorable mention in the Fear Faire Film Festival.[2]

Samantha also wrote, directed, and produced 'The Power of Play,' which is an official selection and winner of a People's Choice award in the Ocean City Film Festival.[3] 'The Power of Play' stars the family dog, a Yorkshire Terrier named Coco. Another project from Samantha, the 'Quarantween' music video, is an official selection in the Green Screen Film Festival. [4]

Together with her daughter Georgiana, she made 'Twisted in Time,' a mixed media short film that is a selection in the Green Screen Film Festival.[4] Georgiana also wrote a song 'Look into Your Heart,' that won a state-wide Reflections Arts Competition for Outstanding Interpretation for Musical Composition.

Theresa acted in and produced avant-garde short film Look, which won awards in the Accolade Competition, Best Shorts Competition, California Film Awards, Honolulu Film Awards and two awards in the Los Angeles Movie Awards. Look received a 4-star review from Film Threat.[5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12]

Writing

Theresa is a writer. She is the owner of modern homemaking blog Enjoying Family Life.[13] With her previous website Theresa's Reviews, she covered the 2017 USA premiere of Disney Pixar's Coco and Olaf's Frozen Adventure.

Representing her blog, she has appeared as a lifestyle expert on Fox 45 Baltimore.[14]

She has also written for StudentFilmmakers Magazine.
