Help me!

{{admin help}}

Please help me with... On the talk page for the freddie murcury wikipage i added a discussion but nobody got to add anything to the discussion as shortly after i created it a new user called 'ED Milners' edited out what i wrote, seems he edited my comments replacing them with his and renamed my discussion.

Is this behaviour the norm? It seems unusual to me.

'ED Milners' is a new user so i initially thought what he did was by mistake but i can see from looking at his contributions that this new users has immediately gone on an editing spree suggesting that he isnt a new to editing wikipedia and that his account is a sock or that hes a previously banned user thats created this new account

Considering that your claims at Talk:Freddie Mercury were highly defamatory and were not supported by the citation of any reliable source, they were correctly removed, as any user (not just an admin) is encouraged to do. General Ization Talk 17:51, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't suggesting putting the claims on the wiki page without citation, i was just proposing the info as a possible addition to the wiki page after the relevant citations are sourced.

I didnt bother to source the relevant citations myself first as it would be a waste of time if when i put forward the info it was decided by others not to be added to the wiki page. HardeeHar (talk) 21:51, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

That isn't how things work here. Claims about people, especially if they are controversial and always if they are potentially defamatory, must be supported by citations of reliable published sources that directly support the content, wherever they appear (including Talk pages). Your claim that you were just "suggesting someone should look into it" are not unlike claims by publishers of defamatory content who have been required to pay multimillion-dollar settlements. We have no patience for that here. General Ization Talk 22:31, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I am new to editing wiki pages so i wasnt aware that i needed to provide citations when making suggestions on the talk page. I'll bare that in mind for future. As for them claims i made i was citing info from documantaties and news articles so the claims are in the public domain they just need sourcing. Just out of interest if I were to source the relevant links to the info would the info even make the wiki page? HardeeHar (talk) 23:05, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

That would be up to the editors of that page. See WP:CONSENSUS. General Ization Talk 23:06, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Help me

[edit]

On the "anonymous (group)" talk page i have made repeated attempts to reply to a discussion as well as create a new discussion and although wiki says always says my post was successful nothing is ever displayed. HardeeHar (talk) 13:24, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Regarding this and other edits you've made, please read WP:NOTFORUM. Also, your edit at Talk:Tricia Helfer was blatant vandalism and a terribly unfunny joke. 2600:1700:B7A1:9A30:D0F6:2F40:9E20:F180 (talk) 23:08, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The bagdadi info is not opinion or thoughts it's a fact. The Tracy comment was not vandalism you're a shitstirrer

PS don't vandalise my user talk again

I occasionally help out by exiting or adding content. The allegations you accuse me of are wrong and are actually the way treated by others whom have self interest. HardeeHar (talk) 13:41, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
