"Blindfold Me" is the second single from Kelis's 2006 album Kelis Was Here. The single features her husband Nas and was released in early October 2006 (see 2006 in music).
The track was co-produced by Polow Da Don (who is well-known for producing hits for The Pussycat Dolls or Black Eyed Peas' Fergie) and Sean Garrett. The Nas-featured version of the song was chosen for the single version, and is featured only in the international version of Kelis Was Here, since the US version has the no-rap version.
"Blindfold Me" was not released as a physical single, due to unknown reasons, and was instead sent to radio stations as a promotional record. After Jive decided not to release the single, Virgin, her European label, decided to release the Cee-Lo-produced & featured "Lil' Star".
"Blindfold Me" had been getting considerably heavy radio play on European radio. Mostly, over Italia (where landed at #8 on the Italian Top 20 Summer) and Albania (#4 on the Albanian Top 50 Radio Hip-Hop). The song has also charted at #1 on the Australian Radio Metro charts on January 1st and has been on the countdown for 3 months which led up to lift "Kelis Was Here" in Australia to reach Gold status.
"Blindfold Me" is expected to be released in the UK as the follow-up single to "Lil' Star".

The raunchy and sexy video for "Blindfold Me", which was directed by Marc Klasfeld -who previously worked with Kelis on "Bossy" earlier that year-, sees Kelis being kidnapped and blindfolded by husband Nas, all wrapped up in an extremely sexual atmosphere, relating to the song's theme. It premiered on BET's Access Granted on September 6, 2006.
