John Bevan is a former Welsh international rugby union player, one of two who played for Wales during the 1970s. In 1971 he toured New Zealand with the British Lions and at the time played club rugby for Cardiff RFC.

Bevan played at number 11 and is chiefly remembered for his role in the Barbarians' victory over New Zealand in 1973. He joined Rugby League shortly afterwards, playing for Warrington. After 13 seasons, he retired from the professional game. He later became sports teacher and rugby coach at Monmouth School.
