The State Bank Tower as seen from the Port Louis Waterfront.

The State Bank Tower is the most famous high-rise building in Port Louis. Situated in the heart of the Mauritian capital, it is the third tallest building in Mauritius. The 82m tall tower which was inaugurated in 1995 was damaged by cyclone Hollanda which hit Mauritius in february 1994 with windspeeds over 200km/h when the building's contruction tower crane smashed and tore into the high-rise.

Designed by Campbell Reith Hill, the 16 storey tower of offices is the only steel frame skeleton high-rise building on the island.
