Origin of Hnamler

Hnamler belongs to the Lai clan of the Mizo (aka Zo or Chin in Myanmar) tribe. As recorded in McCall's records from the 1930s and 1940s, the Hnamler clan, along with clans Aineh, Fanchun, Hlawncheu, Mualchin, Tlanglian, Hnialum, and Chinzah, migrated from Khuafo in the late 1800s to Dawntlang. Eventually, they made their way to the present-day state of Mizoram.[1]
