I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Christine Leadman, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:Christine Leadman. If you remove the {{dated prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. You have recently re-created the article Christine Leadman, which was deleted in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policies. Please do not re-create the article. If you disagree with the article's deletion, you may ask for a deletion review. Aecis I'm too busy acting like I'm not naive 16:57, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Aecis / Irongargoyle: I am new to contributing to Wikipedia and learning quickly. I appreciate the input received and would like to have a chance to work up a more encyclopedic article on a person from Ottawa. If I mistakenly created a second article, that was not my intention rather I wanted to edit what was there. Can I get this article restored so I may do the editing according to the guidelines? Grahame5

I cannot restore the article, as I am not yet an administrator. I suggest placing a message to this effect on Aecis or another wikipedia administrator's talk page. Best, Irongargoyle 18:00, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ignore my previous comment. I see the article is restored, but it still does not appear that the subject meets the notability requirements biographies (see WP:BIO). I would anticipate that if there is no additional verifiable information regarding Christine Leadman and why she is notable added to the article, the article will be nominated for deletion again soon. Welcome aboard wikipedia, Grahame5. Always good to get some new faces around. The problem with the article on Christine Leadman is that she doesn't meet the notability guidelines set by Wikipedia:Notability (people). She's still only a candidate for a position in local politics. Basically, that's not notable enough for wikipedia. If you have any further questions, concerning this article or concerning editing wikipedia in general, you can always leave a message at my talk page. You can sign your comments by using four ~'s, like so: ~~~~. Regards, Aecis I'm too busy acting like I'm not naive 18:05, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A belated reply to your message at my talk page. I haven't restored anything, and I still believe that Christine Leadman is not notable enough. But to be fair, I've nominated it for deletion now, so that other wikipedians can judge the article as well. You are welcome to explain your point of view there as well. The nomination and discussion are at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Christine Leadman. Aecis I'm too busy acting like I'm not naive. 14:14, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
