Huggle compilation

Huggle is written in Visual Basic.NET so you need the Visual Basic edition. --Ysangkok (talk) 18:12, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

Huggle

There is a link on Wikipedia:Huggle to the source code. From this page you can see that the files are ending in ".vb", thats because it's Visual Basic. From that page you can click "checkout" and arrive here: [1]. The checkout URL is there. If you don't know how to use subversion, go read Subversion (software) or look here: [2]. I posted a link for the binary in the original post in case you just want to use it. --Ysangkok (talk) 16:31, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

AWB

You need Microsoft Visual Studio C# Express edition to build AWB and WikiFunctions (a dependency). You also need MS Visual Studio Visual Basic Edition to build some plugins (this is not needed). Download AWB from SVN and comment out lines 1887 to 1891. Maybe the line numbers have changed in recent revisions. The lines that needs to be commented out reads:

case WikiStatusResult.NotRegistered:
                    lblUserName.BackColor = Color.Red;
                    MessageBox.Show(Variables.User.Name + " is not enabled to use this.", "Not enabled", MessageBoxButtons.OK, MessageBoxIcon.Exclamation);
                    Tools.OpenURLInBrowser(Variables.URL + "/wiki/Project:AutoWikiBrowser/CheckPage");
                    break;

I don't bother to figure out if it is necessary to change anything to make it work on other wiki's, but if it is, you should probably just do a global replace for "en.wikipedia.org" with "es.wikipedia.org" or something like that. If you have problems please read a book about .NET programming (or programming in general), instead of asking me :P.

BTW it's actually very easy to do stuff like this. If you read my original post you could see that I just searched the source for the error message i received. In this case it's not even a constant, so you'll find the right place just like that if you did the search. So next time you get an error message just search for it. In this case you could have searched for " is not enabled to use this." and you would end up the right place in the source code. --Ysangkok (talk) 12:34, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Normiad's RFA page

Could you give me suggestions on pages that need edits please?

Replied on your talk page. SUL 22:36, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

Hey sorry to bother you again but you just said something i didn't quite understand. I wasn't quite sure what you meant by an edit summary. Also is there a list of stubs that i could get to? Thank you. NoRmIaD (talk) 22:38, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

Hello is there a list of stubs I could get access to? NoRmIaD (talk) 22:45, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

RfA thanks

Thank you for participating in my RfA, which succeeded with 56 in support, 12 in opposition and 3 neutral votes. I am truly honored by the trust that the community has placed in me. Whether you supported me, opposed me, or if you only posted questions or commented om my RfA, I thank you for your input and I will be looking at the reasons that people opposed me so I can improve in those areas :). If you ever need anything please feel free to ask me and I would be happy to help you :). All the Best, Mifter (talk)

Large scale semiautomatic edits

Large scale semiautomatic edits should not be carried out without good reason. In particular, conversion from one format to another often inhibits the editing process. Please stop. Thanks, Geometry guy 01:06, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

According to WP:WPCHECK, HTML named entities should be replaced with Unicode characters. If this is causing problems, I will stop, but many other users are doing the same thing. SUL (talk) 21:35, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for drawing my attention to this. I've left a comment there. Geometry guy 21:57, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
Your edit with Auto Ed screwed up the Acid dissociation constant page here under the self-ionization of water. I know you were just using Auto Ed, so I will leave a message there, but until it is resolved, I am telling you so that you manually check your entries (which you should already be doing anyways).--Jorfer (talk) 01:21, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
I do check my edits manually, but I must have missed that one. I'll remember to be more careful in the future. Thanks, SUL (talk) 11:43, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
