The Zimbabwe Order of Merit is a Zimbabwean order of merit that is awarded to both civilians and military personnel for service to Zimbabwe.

Institution

[edit]

The Zimbabwe Order of Merit replaced the Rhodesian Legion of Merit of the Rhodesian honours system in 1981.

Classes

[edit]

Like the Rhodesian Legion of Merit, there were 5 classes of the order:

  • Grand Commander (GCZM)
  • Grand Officer (GZM)
  • Commander (CZM)
  • Officer (OZM)
  • Member (MZM)

The President of Zimbabwe is the Grand Commander of the order. Recipients of the order are entitled to the post-nominals above.
