The course will be looking at the protection of species and habitats. During class, the students will learn about the main topics in conservation biology and put them into practice with weekly case studies. Because it is not a lab-based biology class, I plan to use a semester long format for the students to delve into research and writing about a conservation biology topic of their interest as the main project for the class. I suspect that most students will contribute to the wikipedia page of either a species or habitat type of concern.
