Fantasy Boys (Korean: 판타지 보이즈; RR: Pantaji Boijeu) is a South Korean boy group formed through the homonymous MBC reality survival show. The group is managed by M25 and consists of twelve members: Yu Jun-won, Kim Gyu-rae, Hong Sung-min, Oh Hyeon-tae, Lee Han-bin, Ling Qi, Kang Min-seo, Hikari, K-soul, Kim Woo-seok, Hikaru and Kaedan.[1] The group is expected to debut sometime in 2023.
Career
2023–present: Formation through Fantasy Boys and debut
The group was formed through the homonymous MBC reality show that aired from March 30, 2023 to June 8, 2023. The show featured 55 male contestants from different countries. The members of the group were chosen during the final episode through the viewers votes.
Prior to partecipating in Fantasy Boys several members were already active in the entertainment industry: Yu Jun-won was a contestant on Hybe Label's Japan's survival show &Audition – The Howling, but was eliminated in the last episode. Ling Qi was a member of the chinese boy group X-Time and in 2018 he partecipated in the reality show Idol Producer. He was eliminated in episode 8 and finished 58th overall. K-soul is a former member of Mu Ji Shao Nien and was a contestant on the reality shows Super Idol and We Are Young.
