Taeillo is a Nigerian Afro-urban furniture that specializes in creating contemporary and African-inspired designs using technology and craftmanship [1]. Taeillo is Founded by Jumoke Dada in 2018 [2].
History and Founding
Taeillo was established in Lagos, Nigeria in 2018[3] [4]. Jumoke Dada, the founder and creative director, drew inspiration from her Nigerian heritage and her passion for design to create a brand that celebrates local artistry.
Funding
Taeillo has raised about $3 million in funding over three rounds, starting from a $365, 000 pre-seed round in 2019 [5]. Its first round was backed by Montane Capital, Co-Creation Hub (CcHub) and B-Knight. By January 2021, CcHub throw in another $150, 000 investment in form of a convertible note [6]. Taeillo’s latest investment is a $2.5 million seed fund[7] raised in December 2022 from Lagos-based investor, Aruwa Capital Management, to help it scale its existing operations in Kenya [8] [9].

In December 2018. Taeillo showcases aspiring design talent in Furniture, Textile and Lighting Design [10].

- In October 2021, Taeillo exhibition at Eko Design series in the Lagos Design Week [11].
