- Comment: Long NYT article this AM. A redirect is holding up a move to the mainspace. (I tagged the redirect for deletion.) Draft still needs a copyedit. JSFarman (talk) 15:05, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
Elise Loehnen is a writer, podcast host of Pulling the Thread, and former Chief Content Officer of Goop. Her latest book, On our Best Behaviour, was published in 2023 and became a New York Times Bestseller. She also worked for Condé Nast Traveler as editorial projects director.[1]
In On our Best Behaviour, Loehnen explores how the seven deadly sins have shaped cultural programming and dictated the way women police themselves and other women.[2] She seeks to disentangle the way in which women aspire to "goodness" in a patriarchal system and how the sins shape women's behavior.[3]
As CCO of Goop, she also hosted the Goop podcast and Goop Lab series on Netflix, as well as oversaw the Goop Magazine. She was only the second for for the company, and left in 2020 in order to focus on her book.[4]
Elise attended Yale University and was a national championship mathlete finalist. She previously worked for Lucky magazine as deputy editor, and has worked as a ghostwriter in books on self-help, business, and style, including collaborations with Ellen Degeneres and Lea Michele.[5][4][6]
Elise lives in Los Angeles with her husband two sons.
