Hinduism

Mahabali is the son of Virochana and nephew of Prahlada. Prahlada was the son of Hiranyakashipu, the Asura king. Mahabali's wife Vindhyavalli is the daughter of Himavan. They also have a son named Banasura.. Mahabali was an ardent worshiper of Lord Vishnu though he was an Asura king. It is mentioned in some places that Vindhyavalli was a good family woman who gave all support to Mahabali.

Vindhyavali is also a mythological character whose name is rarely mentioned in Puranas. Great wife of Mahabali. Vindhyavali was beautiful and compassionate towards her fellow beings. Some legends also say that the Mahabali-Vindhyavalli couple had 100 sons. Among these, Banasura and Namasu are the famous sons. Being the ideal wife of her husband Mahabali, Vindhyavali shared her love with all her 100 sons equally. Puranas say that Vindhyavalli was also a very respectful person to Mahabali's grandfather Bhakta Prahlada.[2][3]
