Alyssa Lang
Alyssa Lang is a host, anchor and reporter for SEC Network. In addition to hosting SEC Featured on Monday nights, Lang covers college football for the SEC Network as a sideline reporter. Lang also appears in the popular studio programme Thinking Out Loud on the SEC Network. Lang will re-join the SEC Now anchor desk rotation after the football season along with network veterans Peter Burns and Dari Nowkhah. She and Takeo Spikes co-host another SEC show called Out of Pocket. She also subbed for Paul Finebaum on his show.
Early Life and College
Lang is a native of Huntersville, North Carolina. Despite her parents going to Virginia Tech, Lang graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2015.[1][2]
Career
She spent two seasons as a sports anchor and reporter at First Coast News in Jacksonville, Florida before joining the SEC Network and ESPN in 2018. She worked at WLTX in Columbia, South Carolina, before moving to Florida, where she covered a variety of topics including South Carolina, Clemson, the Carolina Panthers, and more..[3] Lang has also worked for SPEEDTV, GamecockCentral.com, and WCNC in Charlotte.[4] After a 2022 game, Mississippi State coach Mike Leach gave advice to Lang to elope after the season.[5]
