BubbleUPnP is a DLNA-compliant UPnP server, controller, and media renderer, designed to allow streaming of media from and to an Android device.[2] Alongside the Android client, it also has a server application that can be installed on Windows, macOS and Linux.[3]

Features

BubbleUPnP's integrated DLNA media server allows browsing of media of the Android device from other DLNA devices such as gaming consoles or smart TVs. The integrated renderer makes BubbleUPnP act as a control point on a home network.[4]

There is also transcoding support for Chromecast devices and UPnP/DLNA music streamers.[4]

Licensed

BubbleUPnP is free to use and ad-supported; a number of advanced features are offered when purchasing a license, such as filesystem browsing from remote devices, unlimited playlist size, remote access to home libraries and no ads.[5]

BubbleUPnP Server

BubbleUPnP Server is a proxy server application to run on a PC or NAS, providing transcoding and remote access to existing DLNA servers, such as the BubbleUPnP app on Android. It also supports streaming from online sources.[6]

The server is able to interact with foobar2000 for music purposes.[7][8]
