Don Keith (born in 12 December 1947, in Springville, Alabama) is an American writer,[1][2] best known for his books series Hunter Killer (2003–2023) co-authored with George Wallace, of which the novel Firing Point (2011) was adapted into the film Hunter Killer (2018).[3][4]
Keith's first novel, The Forever Season (1995), received the Fiction of the Year award from the Alabama Library Association.[5] He has also authored several biographies, young adult novels, and military history books.[6][7] A graduate of the University of Alabama,[8] he has been an amateur radio operator since 1969,[9] he co-owned the radio station WZEW in Mobile, Alabama from 1983 to 1986;[10]
