The brown-backed scrub robin (Cercotrichas hartlaubi) is a species of bird in the family Muscicapidae. It is found in Angola, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda. Its natural habitat is moist savanna.
