Bulletin of Geography. Socio-economic Series (BGSS) is a quarterly peer-reviewed scientific journal that covers the field of geographical, economical and social sciences. It was established in 2003 and is published by Nicolaus Copernicus University (NCU) in Toruń. The editor-in-chief is Professor Daniela Szymańska (NCU). Editorial work is supported by the Editorial Team[1] and the Advisory Council/Editorial Board[2].
Publisher
The sponsor of all publications is NCU in Toruń. BGSS publishes articles free of charge for authors and makes them available free to readers. The Journal offers access to the contents in the open access system on the principles of non-exclusive license Creative Commons (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).
Scope
The topics of papers published in the BGSS range from theoretical to empirical investigations with issues of diverse spatial scales - local, regional, national, international.
The Journal has a wide range of study areas including geography, human geography, demography, settlement geography, processes of urbanization and urban settlement systems, urban studies, metropolitan areas, integrated and sustainable development of cities and regions, planning and development, landscape and rural settlement, spatial organization and territorial planning, regional policy, medical geography, tourism and recreation, cultural studies, economic geography, geography of crime, trade geography, geography of services, political geography, electoral geography, human ecology, sociology, economics[3].
