Before posting, first discuss with the protecting admin at their talk page. Post below only if you receive no reply.

  • To find out the username of the admin who protected the page click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page" which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
  • Requests to downgrade full protection to template protection on templates and modules can be directed straight here; you do not need to ask the protecting admin first.
  • Requests for removing create protection on redlinked articles are generally assisted by having a draft version of the intended article prepared beforehand.
  • If you want to make spelling corrections or add uncontroversial information to a protected page please add {{Edit fully-protected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. If the talk page is protected please use the section below.

Check the archives if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.

Request unprotection of a page, or reducing the protection level

Reason: The page should be open for the community to edit, however no problem restoring page protection as the party is a controversial one same as Sinn Fein but they should be held to the same standard given the context. Completely Random Guy (talk) 20:42, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

While it wasn't protected under its auspices, this still falls into The Troubles contentious topic area, as a note. —Jéské Couriano v^_^v Source assessment notes 21:19, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Completely Random Guy: You posted this request in a subpage for decreasing protection. Currently the only protection is pending-change protection (PCP), meaning it is currently completely open to the community to edit, already. If PCP is a burden on the community due to repeatedly having to revert edits from anonymous IP addresses, that's a reason to increase the protection to semiprotected. What exactly are you proposing here? ~Anachronist (talk) 21:47, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Declined – No changes to the current protection level are required at this point in time. Favonian (talk) 16:37, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: I am writing to request the removal of the protection on the Kourage Beatz NSI article, which was protected on June 12, 2023, due to repeated recreations. The protection was implemented to prevent further edits without administrator access.

I acknowledge the previous issues that led to the protection, including unambiguous copyright infringement, advertising, and promotion concerns. I am committed to addressing these issues, improving the article's content, resolving copyright concerns, and ensuring compliance with Wikipedia guidelines.

Please consider lifting the protection on the Kourage Beatz NSI article, allowing for constructive contributions and improvements to be made. I appreciate your consideration and assistance in this matter.Eugenebenji (talk) 19:02, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
