Adam is Borough Commander not Chief Superintendent. The position of Chief Superintendent was briefly abolished and was not reinstated in the Bill. Therefore Brownlow was the last Chief Supt. (Steve 00:48, 22 September 2006 (UTC))

I think you'll find he's both, and that's not an issue - he is a police officer in the appointment of Borough Commander, with the rank of Ch Supt - that's just the way it is. Ch Supt is his rank, Borough Commander is his appointment. Although, confusingly, Borough Commanders are almost always referred to as such. It's like in the Army, where a Regimental Sergeant Major is an appointment, but WO1 a rank - the RSM is always referred to as RSM Smith (seldom WO1 Smith). Hope this clears this up! – DBD 18:01, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with the above, this has come up before where the rank was disputed and some were saying that his rank was actually Commander. Okaro's rank insignia is that of a Chief Superintendent, Commander is the next rank. Borough Commander is simply an appointment and the position is filled by a Chief Superintendent. Definitely confusing but true according to Commander and several sites/images from a web search. Also, in reply to Steve, Brownlow was indeed the last Chief Superintendent to serve at Sun Hill, but bear in mind that Okaro left Sun Hill once promoted. SMC89 14:02, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
