Samana Group
Samana Group is a real estate company operating in the Dominican Republic. The group is one of the largest developers and landowners on the Dominican peninsula of Samana. It owns 4,000 hectares of land and is building luxury villas, hotels, hostels and apartments. It also develops a private city on the Samana peninsula in the northeast of the Dominican Republic.[1][2][3][4] Marek Zmysłowski serves as the CEO.[1][5]
History
Samana Group was founded by Marek Zmysłowski, Shannon Robertson, Tomas Avogadro and Piotr Baran.[2][6] In 2023, Samana Group has closed a seed investment round of PLN 10B. Investors included world and Polish business angels including Pointer.Capital, Peter Lindholm, Andrea Guzzoni, Enrique Arce, Artur Kurasiński, Ania Zielińska, Borys Szyc, Przemysław Budnicki among others.[7][8][9] In 2023, the company started developing a private town on the Samana Peninsula, in the northeastern Dominican Republic.[7][10] Samana Group raised an additional 200 million PLN in two crowdfunding campaigns in 2023.[11][12]
Key projects
Nomad City Stage 1: in 2023, the company started its private city on the Samana Peninsula, in the northeastern Dominican Republic.[13] The concept of the project was developed by 3 architectural firms – Jasper Architects, Traktor Arquitectura and Luis Vidal, the office that was commissioned by the Dominican government to develop the development strategy for the Samana peninsula. The whole town is designed for 10 thousand residents and its construction is divided into 10 stages.[7][8][10][14][15]
Nomad City Stage 1 is located on the hills of Monte Rojo, Dominican Republic. It consists of 120 fully furnished apartments and 26 spacious villas.[8][16]
Dominican Tree House Village: Dominican Tree House Village was opened in 2015. It is an all-inclusive boutique hotel located in the Caribbean with 22 rooms, open-air cabins, and tree houses.[17][18]
El Valle Lodge: opened in 2019 and currently undergoing expansion from its initial 10 rooms to accommodate 18, El Valle Lodge is luxury-oriented accommodation.[19][20]
Unique Exotic Hotel: established in 2018 and planned for expansion from its original 10 rooms to a total of 30, Unique Exotic Hotel is designed specifically for couples.[21]
