Comment moved from redirect page[edit]

Please restore this page. CEJM is a Mathematical Journal which had a honest existence until April 2014. One cannot change its history, nor use it for promoting new journals which change its initial dedication. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mtibar (talkcontribs) 09:25, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Mtibar. I moved your comment from the redirect page because it was misplaced there. I understand your concern but feel the new title is probably appropriate, and the article does mention the predecessor. The encyclopedic truth is therefore intact, though truth is merely true while not necessarily fair. I invite Randykitty to comment here as he is more knowledgeable at this time regarding the move, and can help to better explain why the page has been moved. Best regards.—John Cline (talk) 10:24, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Open Mathematics is not a "new journal", it is the new title for the Central European Journal of Mathematics. You may not like what happened, but that's the fact and in cases like this, we move the article to the new name, while making clear that the journal was originally created under the old name. --Randykitty (talk) 10:52, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
