Aattam (transl. The Play) is a 2024 Indian Malayalam-language, Suspense Chamber Drama film written and directed by Anand Ekarshi. The film won the 2023 Grand Jury Award at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles.[1] It was also chosen as the opening feature film at the 54th International Film Festival of India held at Goa.[2] The film was produced by Dr. Ajith Joy under the banner of Joy Movie Productions.

Premise

At a party, the sole actress of a theatre group is subjected to a crime from one of the men in the group. When a meeting is convened to reach a consensus, stories unravel, suspicions surface and clamour ensues.[3]

Release

After screenings at IFFLA, IFFI and IFFK, Aattam was released in theatres on 5 January 2024 to acclaim from audiences and critics.[4][5][6][7][8][9]
