User:Happysailor User:Tony Holkham A rather general question, but on this page the early boats are listed as solely 'Pulling' whereas on others, eg New Quay. as 'Pulling & Sailing'. Hard to know with this space of time, but my guess is most would have had some sailing capacity. Those that are KNOWN to have been solely pulling, might be marked as such - "Solely Pulling"SovalValtos (talk) 22:58, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

From my limited knowledge, I believe many lifeboats existed that were not rigged for sailing. Not that this answers your question... Tony Holkham (talk) 23:06, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
