Deadly crashes

[edit]

Quote: As ground effects were perfected and the turbos started boasting 1,500 bhp (1,100 kW), deadly crashes ensued. The deadly crash before I think was 1984, the one after 1994. I believe this quote is false. It was perhaps the fear of deadly crashes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.164.106.236 (talk) 10:18, 2 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Well, there were Villeneuve and Paletti's fatal accidents in 1982, followed by de Angelis' in 1986 (which was about the time the most powerful turbo engines were achieving 1500 bhp), then none until Senna and Ratzenberger in 1994. I've reworded the text to remove the reference to the "deadly crashes". DH85868993 (talk) 02:36, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
