Deletion of unverified content

[edit]

This article had far too much of what seemed like fan opinion acting as verified fact that has since been removed. All claims regarding production, canonicity, and the like need to be supported by reliable sources. AtomicMysteryMonster 29 August 2010 —Preceding undated comment added 03:55, 30 August 2010 (UTC). Another deletion of unverified content

[edit]

I deleted the "Controversy" section due to its use of uncited speculation. While I do remember a former member of Major Havoc Entertainment making such a claim on their now-defunct AOL page, this does not match up with Tsubaraya's numerous attempts to get an Ultraman series produced in America, such as the animated Ultraman: The Adventure Begins. I'll keep this off the front page since this is only my speculation, but I suspect that Tsubaraya getting burned financially by the South Australian Film Corporation during the making of Ultraman: Towards the Future made them wary of all future co-productions. Either August Ragone or Bob Johnson once wrote about the scandal in Markalite magazine and I believe there was also a write-up in [Variety] about it. Come to think of it, one of those guys did an article about Ultraman: The Ultimate Hero starting production, which noted its origins as a US-shot second season of Ultraman: Towards the Future! However, without a confirmed statement from Tsubaraya, this theory of mine has no place in the main article.AtomicMysteryMonster (talk) 00:00, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
