Polo Mk5 vs Polo R WRC[edit]

By c&p from Appendix J Article 279 Technical Regulations for Rallycross Cars – 2016 – published on 17.03.16: "2.1 Type of cars eligible SuperCars Homologated in Group A/N (Kit Car and World Rally Car excluded) and conforming to Appendix J – Group A (Articles 251 to 255)."

The tag Polo R or Polo R WRC stands for Volkswagen's World Rally Car Polo. But World Rally Cars are not eligible for Rallycross. The above rule is valid for many years now. Therefore, calling a Rallycross Polo a Polo R is producing a wrong impression for the readers. RX-Guru (talk) 09:50, 16 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
