Common Atheist mistake
Given that both assert the existence of spirits (including, in most formulations, that of God), Atheists often incorrectly describe Idealism as a form of Mind-Body Dualism. I have seen this happen in many debates (YouTube comments, Facebook threads, etc.), but if anyone can help me find an actual source rather than just an anecdote that such a mistake is typically made by many Atheists, that would be much appreciated. > "Given that both assert..." Both what? What two things are doing the asserting? Gwideman (talk) 03:50, 11 August 2017 (UTC)
- a. statistically most idealists are open to the irrational (agnosticism) either are pure theists
- b. not all atheists are dataists (data-ism to accept only the safely (and without mistakes) recorded data), some are theoretical atheists based on extrapolations or physical theories (metalogically idealism is erroneous, because all notions are formed by others, thus nothing is fundamental at the quantum field theory or at the metalogic (small order of notional or physical magnitude) layer of causality) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:2149:887F:EC00:913:9FEF:9923:68 (talk) 19:24, 23 February 2018 (UTC)

(Unsigned comment)
Idealists either a. they don't analyze consciousness, either b. they analyze it using terms they don't analyze metalogically, either c. they analyze consciousness to many constituents but don't define exactly what the noun fundamentality means.
The article on objective idealism is currently less informative than the subsection here. If someone has the time and expertise, they may want to update the article or merge it here. Brittletheories (talk) 20:35, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
