Wuthering Waves (Chinese: 鸣潮; pinyin: Míng Cháo; lit. 'Sound Tide') is an upcoming free-to-play Open world 3D Action RPG developed and published by the game company Kuro Game, the same developer behind Punishing: Gray Raven.
The game is set into a futuristic post-apocalyptic world, where a mysterious catastrophe know as the "Lament" swept the globe and wiping out most of humanity and leaving it on the verge of extinction. After the calamity, unknown beings and monsters have been appearing all around the world, but humanity soon adapts to the threat, and finds a way to cope, and live with the monsters, slowly rebuilding civilization. The player takes the role of the Rover, who has woken from its deep slumber. On the Rover's journey, they'll explore the vast lands and are greeted by an expansive new world filled with novel sights and newfangled tech.
Gameplay
Wuthering Waves is an open world game with rich and diverse content and high degree of freedom.[1]
The style of the game scene tends to be old movie style, the color tone is realistic, no highly saturated colors, and the characters are in dark secondary style. The characters are in a dark, secondary style. Since they are all in dark colors, they may lack recognizability. The gameplay includes open-world elements such as climbing, gliding, and gathering, as well as a new element of "wall running. In terms of action, Wuthering Waves allows players to dodge and flick with the sword in two ways.
Development
Wuthering Waves was officially revealed on May 26 2022 on their social media accounts. The game is going to be release on Microsoft Windows, Android & iOS, however no statement regarding a console version have been made. No release date has as of yet been disclosed.
