Melker Widell (born 19 April 2002) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays either on the Central Midfield or as a Winger for Danish 1st Division club AaB.[1]

Club career

Widell played youth football in Malmö FF.

On 18 July 2023, Widell joined Danish club Aalborg BK on a 3-year deal.[2]

International career

On 16 November 2023, Widell made his debut for the Sweden U21 during a 3-0 victory over Finland U21s, where he played the whole match on the central midfield. [3]

Personal Life

Melker Widell is the older brother of footballer Casper Widell, who currently plays for the dutch team Excelsior in the Eredivisie.

Their father Mikael played as a goalkeeper in the minor leagues of Swedish football.[4]
