[edit]The Corps D'Afrique Brigade needs additional research or clarification. The 7th and 8th U.S. Colored Infantry regiments were not mustered into the service until after the Siege of Port Hudson. Spacini (talk) 15:49, 10 May 2015 (UTC)

- This was actually quite helpful. I was able to determine that the Corps D'Afrique were actually separate units from the U.S. Colored Troops and subsequently they had their unit designations changed. For example, the 7th Corps De Afrique Infantry became the 79th U.S. Colored Infantry on April 4, 1864. I'm going to make some cosmetic changes to this order of battle to avoid any confusion with the Regular U.S.C.T. units. Thanks! Spacini (talk) 20:17, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
