Invariability of "شيكل"?

[edit]

Some foreign words that designate weights and measures such as […] šēkel (shekel) […] are invariable. contradicts wikt:شيكل#Noun. And I'm pretty sure that I've heard a dual شيكلين in Jerusalem as well. Maybe it can be used as both variable and invariable (depending e.g. on the speaker)? Do we maybe have as second reference regarding the matter? @SarahFatimaK: Pinging you as the creator of the Wiktionary entry.
