OMOCAT is a multimedia artist and art director[1], most well known for their RPG game OMORI, and their apparel brand by the same name. They established their art studio OMOCAT LLC. in 2014.
Biography
Since their youth, OMOCAT has been an illustrator, and considers their artistry as an important part of their identity[2]. They grew up watching Studio Ghibli films and anime, around the same time that they began drawing[3]. Initially, OMOCAT hid their interest in anime, in fear of bullying at school, and later, due to the judgement from peers in art college. This treatment drove them to create their initial art blog as a space for them to draw what they wanted.[4] Sometime after entering college, OMOCAT decided to embrace their interest in anime and use their artistic style to stick out amongst their peers[3] and prove that anime can be as impactful as other art genres[4].
OMOCAT has been a freelance artist since 2010. Their art blog's popularity allowed them to create their online shop, and later, their apparel lines. OMOCAT has collaborated with .... such as...
