The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (WAPA) is a semiautonomous agency of the Government of the Virgin Islands. It is responsible for the distribution of power generation and drinking water in the territory.[1]

Background[edit]

In 1964, WAPA was created by the 5th Legislature of the Virgin Islands through Act No. 1248.
